The newly-formed BJP-led government in Delhi, under Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, is set to table 14 reports from the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) in the Delhi Assembly today. These reports are expected to shed light on alleged financial irregularities and corruption during the previous Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government.

Delhi BJP leaders, including Virendraa Sachdeva, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, and Ravinder Indraj Singh, have accused the AAP of hiding the reports for years to conceal their alleged wrongdoings. The reports, to be presented after the Lieutenant Governor’s address, cover a range of audits and performance assessments, including state finances, public health infrastructure, and various government programs.

The CAG reports have raised concerns regarding the transparency and accountability of the previous AAP administration, with opposition leaders promising that they will expose corruption and mismanagement during the session. The assembly will also discuss the motion of thanks to the LG’s address and hold the election for the Deputy Speaker later in the day.
