Andhra CM Chandrababu Naidu Mourns Death of Nine in Annamayya Lorry Accident

The victims were reportedly travelling from Rajampet to Railway Koduru when the accident occurred in the late hours.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday night expressed deep grief over the tragic death of nine people after a mango-laden lorry overturned near Reddicheruvu Katta in Pullampet mandal, Annamayya district.

The victims were reportedly travelling from Rajampet to Railway Koduru when the accident occurred in the late hours. CM Naidu immediately sought details from officials and was assured that proper medical care is being provided to the injured. He also directed authorities to ensure quality treatment and announced full support for the families of the deceased.

Former CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer also expressed their condolences. Governor Nazeer instructed the district administration to prioritise the treatment of those injured and extended heartfelt sympathies to the grieving families.

In a related past incident on June 30, three people died and five were critically injured in Kurabalakota Mandal, when a lorry collided with a tempo traveller near Dommanna Bavi. The injured were rushed to Madanapalle Government Hospital, and a case was registered for investigation.

Transport Minister Mandipalli Ram Prasad Reddy has also taken note of the latest tragedy and directed transport authorities to conduct immediate rescue operations and ensure such incidents are thoroughly probed.
