Kangana Ranaut has given fans a taste of her upcoming political drama ‘Emergency’ with the release of its first track, “Singhasan Khali Karo.” The song, shared on her Instagram story, is a contemporary take on a classic anthem that resonates with India’s political past.

Originally written by the celebrated poet Ramdhari Singh Dinkar, “Singhasan Khali Karo Ki Janta Aati Hai” was a rallying cry against the political climate of the 1970s. This new version, featured in ‘Emergency’, brings the spirit of that era back to life with a fresh twist. The track is crafted by renowned music composer G.V. Prakash Kumar, with powerful lyrics from Manoj Muntashir. It features vocals from Udit Narayan, Nakash Aziz, and Nakul Abhyankar, creating a stirring musical experience.

In discussing the song, Kangana Ranaut highlighted its historical significance. She noted that during the 1970s, this anthem represented a call to action against the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s regime. It became a symbol of the people’s resistance and contributed to a broader political awakening. Ranaut expressed her admiration for the collaboration with G.V. Prakash Kumar, praising how the composition captures the revolutionary essence of the era.
