Mohanlal hospitalized due to viral infection; Details inside

Mohanlal, the celebrated Indian film actor, has been hospitalized at Amrita Hospital in Kochi due to severe fever and breathing difficulties. The 64-year-old star, known for his roles in Malayalam cinema, was admitted after experiencing a high-grade fever, muscle pain, and trouble breathing.

In an official update from the hospital, it was revealed that Mohanlal is suspected to have a viral respiratory infection. The statement emphasized that he will need to rest for five days and should avoid crowded places to support his recovery. Currently, the actor is focused on recuperating from his illness.

On the professional front, Mohanlal is gearing up for the release of his much-anticipated film, ‘L2: Empuraan’. This film is the sequel to the 2019 hit ‘Lucifer’ and will see Mohanlal return to his iconic role as Khureshi-Ab’raam, also known as Stephen Nedumpally. Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, ‘L2: Empuraan’ is generating significant excitement, with recent promotional materials showcasing Mohanlal in a striking black outfit and a salt-and-pepper look.

The upcoming film promises to be a major release, with plans for it to be available in multiple languages including Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi. The cast includes notable actors such as Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Sachin Khedekar, Saniya Iyappan, Fazil, and Indrajith Sukumaran.
