Veteran actor Anil Kapoor’s mother, Nirmal Kapoor, passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on Friday, May 2. She was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital prior to her demise.
Anil Kapoor, along with his brother Sanjay Kapoor, sister Reena Kapoor, and nephew Arjun Kapoor, was seen arriving at the family residence with her mortal remains. Other family members including Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Boney Kapoor, and Shikhar Pahariya also gathered to mourn her loss.
Several celebrities from the film industry—Rani Mukerji, Ananya Panday, Javed Akhtar, Anupam Kher, Jackie Shroff, and Veer Pahariya—visited the Kapoor residence to offer their condolences.
The funeral is scheduled for Saturday, May 3, at 11:30 AM at the Vile Parle Crematorium, Pawan Hans, S.V. Road, Mumbai.
Nirmal Kapoor was the wife of late film producer Surinder Kapoor and the mother of Boney, Anil, Sanjay, and Reena Kapoor Marwah. She was also the proud grandmother of several Bollywood celebrities, including Arjun, Sonam, Rhea, Harsh Vardhan, Janhvi, Anshula, Khushi, and Mohit Marwah.
