CM Fadnavis Visits Flood-Hit Solapur, Assures Relief for Affected Farmers

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday visited Darfal village in Solapur district to review the flood situation caused by continuous heavy rainfall across several districts.

The downpour has triggered flood-like conditions in parts of Beed, Dharashiv, and Solapur, where National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams have been conducting rescue and relief operations since Monday night.

Deputy CM Ajit Pawar also toured flood-affected areas in Solapur earlier this week, inspecting damaged crops and interacting directly with farmers. He instructed local authorities to ensure that immediate relief measures are executed efficiently.

Sharing details on X, Pawar wrote, “Due to continuous heavy rainfall, there has been significant crop damage. I inspected the fields, interacted with farmers, and directed the administration to provide immediate assistance. Our government stands firmly behind the farmer community.”

Meanwhile, Deputy CM Eknath Shinde assured that farmers in Marathwada would be compensated before Diwali, stressing that the government has always stood by farmers in times of crisis.

According to government sources, Maharashtra has announced a ₹1,339 crore relief package for farmers whose crops were damaged between June and August 2025.
