Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday underscored the state government’s commitment to investor-friendly policies at the Investors Meet for the upcoming Mega Textile and Apparel Park.
The 1,000-acre textile hub, being developed along the Lucknow-Hardoi border under the PM MITRA Yojana, aims to boost industrial growth in the textile sector and reinforce UP’s position as a key investment destination.
Addressing investors at the event, CM Yogi emphasized that UP is the first state to implement structured social incentives for investors.
“Incentives have been distributed to hundreds of investors who have already commenced production. Our online system ensures that all incentives are provided within the policy framework,” he said.
He further highlighted that under the 2022 textile policy, investors have already received their incentives, demonstrating the state’s commitment to fulfilling its promises.
CM Yogi also spoke about UP’s deep-rooted connection to the textile industry, citing Varanasi and Ayodhya as historical centers of trade and craftsmanship.
“Kashi and Ayodhya are among the world’s oldest cities, with a textile legacy spanning thousands of years. Bhagoli and Mirzapur are still renowned for their silk, and Banarasi sarees remain globally recognized,” he said.
He also mentioned Ambedkar Nagar as a key hub for handloom and textiles, further bolstering the state’s industrial reputation.
The Mega Textile Park is expected to generate employment opportunities and strengthen UP’s position as a leading textile manufacturing state. The PM MITRA scheme aims to create a comprehensive textile value chain, enhancing India’s global textile competitiveness.
Earlier on Friday, CM Yogi inaugurated a new soft drink bottling plant in Ayodhya, reinforcing the state’s industrial expansion.
“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Ayodhya has become India’s first solar city. The new plant is equipped with 15 MW solar panels, reducing carbon emissions and supporting environmental sustainability,” he said.
He emphasized that the plant would not only boost local employment but also cater to soft drink demand in UP, Bihar, and Uttarakhand.
Speaking at the Mukhyamantri Yuva Uddyaami Vikas Abhiyaan (MYUVA) event, CM Yogi highlighted the transformation in UP’s law and order situation, asserting that the state has shifted from being a riot-prone region to a global center for religious and cultural celebrations.
“Kashi, Prayagraj, Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, and Chitrakoot have become major pilgrimage and tourism hubs, boosting cultural heritage and generating employment,” he said.
Taking a veiled dig at the opposition, CM Yogi stated that all barriers to UP’s development have been removed, ensuring greater job opportunities for the youth.
With continuous industrial, cultural, and infrastructure advancements, Uttar Pradesh is positioning itself as a model state for investment and economic growth.
