Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Madhya Pradesh Global Investors Summit (GIS) 2025 in Bhopal, emphasizing India’s growing economic prominence and the vast investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh.
Highlighting the optimism surrounding India’s future, PM Modi stated, “The world is optimistic about India,” reflecting the global confidence in the country’s economic trajectory.
During his speech, Modi outlined the government’s significant investments in Madhya Pradesh’s industrial and infrastructure sectors. “The government has invested approximately Rs 50,000 crore in the Bina Refinery Petrochemical Complex, which will help make Madhya Pradesh a hub for petrochemicals,” he said.
He further discussed the state’s ongoing industrial expansion, with over 300 industrial zones and large investment zones being developed in areas such as Pithampur, Ratlam, and Devas. “This means immense opportunities for all investors to achieve better returns,” Modi added.
The Prime Minister also reflected on India’s progress over the past decade, focusing on the nation’s infrastructure boom and advancements in energy. “The past decade has been a period of unprecedented growth for India’s energy sector,” he noted.
Emphasizing water security for industrial growth, PM Modi said, “Water security is crucial for industrial development. On one hand, we are emphasizing water conservation, and on the other, we are advancing with the mega mission of river interlinking.”
PM Modi also highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s energy success, noting, “Madhya Pradesh is now power surplus, with a 31,000 MW power generation capacity, 30 percent of which comes from clean energy.”
He further recognized the state’s contributions to renewable energy, mentioning the Rewa Solar Park—one of the largest in the country—and the newly constructed Omkareshwar Floating Solar Power Plant in Madhya Pradesh.
