Bank of India, 77th Independence Day

Amidst “Aazadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”, the ongoing Freedom Festival, Bank of India celebrated 77th Independence Day with traditional fervor, pomp and gaiety in the forecourt of Bank of India, Head Office.

Independence Day celebrations started with hoisting of National Flag by Mr Rajneesh Karnatak, MD & CEO of the Bank.

Executive Directors  P. R. Rajagopal, Swarup Dasgupta, M. Karthikeyan & Subrat Kumar, all the Chief General Managers, General Managers, staff from Head Office along with their family members were present on the occasion. After the flag hoisting “Panch Pran Pledge” was administered to all staff and family member present.

Rajneesh Karnatak, MD & CEO in his address paid tribute to the freedom fighters and stated that their courage and vision continue to inspire us to dream big and work towards a brighter future for our beloved country. He briefed about the campaign “Meri Matti Mera Desh” with the tagline “Mitti Ko Naman, Veeron Ka Vandan”, launched by the Hon’able Prime Minister.

He applauded the wholehearted participation of the staff all across the country in Zones/ Branches/ Offices in the government’s “Har Ghar Tiranga” and “Meri Matti Mera Desh” campaigns.

He proudly acknowledged and saluted the relentless efforts of the staff during the glorious journey of the Bank for last 117 years.

Thereafter, he briefly narrated the great history & glorious journey of the bank filled with countless accolades & achievements.

As his concluding remarks, he urged all staff members to work together, as the Bank of India family and to pledge to contribute wholeheartedly to the growth and prosperity of our great Nation.

While “Amrit Vatika” initiative is being undertaken at all Zones, at Head Office, as a token to this initiative, sapling plantation program done by the MD & CEO and all the Executive Directors.
