Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday celebrated the birth anniversary of Lord Rama with traditional rituals at Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhpur on the occasion of Ram Navami.

As the head of Gorakshapeeth, CM Yogi performed pooja and aarti of Ram Lalla and gently cradled the deity placed in a beautifully decorated cradle, praying for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the state.

The temple premises echoed with devotional songs as rituals were conducted amid Vedic chanting.

Rituals Performed with Full Traditions

After completing Kanya Pujan during Chaitra Navratri, the Chief Minister visited the Ram Darbar inside the temple and performed detailed pooja rituals.

He later moved to the open-air theatre stage, where he again worshipped Ram Lalla and offered floral tributes to Guru Gorakhnath, Mahant Digvijaynath, and Mahant Avaidyanath.

Leader, Saint & Cultural Figure

During Chaitra Navratri, Yogi Adityanath was seen balancing multiple roles – as a political leader & spiritual head.

Alongside administrative duties, he also:

  • Interacted with the public in Lucknow
  • Marked 9 years of governance initiatives
  • Inaugurated development projects across districts
  • Visited temples linked to Lord Ram, Krishna, and ShivaPrayer for State’s Prosperity: On the auspicious occasion, the Chief Minister prayed for peace, prosperity, and well-being of the people of Uttar Pradesh.
