Union Home Minister Amit Shah is on a two-day visit to Bihar, meeting BJP workers across key districts as the party gears up for the Assembly elections. BJP State President Dilip Jaiswal stated that the NDA is working towards securing a two-thirds majority in the state legislature.
On Saturday, Shah met party workers in Sarairanjan (Samastipur) and Forbesganj near Jogbani (Araria), delivering instructions for the upcoming polls. Jaiswal said, “The BJP and NDA workers are showing enthusiasm and working with unity to win more than two-thirds majority in the Assembly.”
During the visit, Shah also reviewed party activities from the previous day, when he met 300 workers in Bettiah, West Champaran, Gopalganj, Sivan, and Saran, and chaired a meeting with senior party leaders.
Jaiswal also took a jibe at Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, criticizing her Bihar visit on Friday, accusing her of praising abuses hurled at Biharis elsewhere. Gandhi had earlier criticized the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana, calling it an “attempt to buy votes” ahead of the elections, rather than empowering women through fair wages and safety.
