Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov on Tuesday extended warm birthday greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 75th birthday, lauding his efforts in elevating the long-standing India-Russia partnership to greater heights.
Sharing his wishes in Hindi on social media platform X, Alipov wrote, “Heartfelt birthday greetings and best wishes to the Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri @narendramodiji! We are grateful for his invaluable contribution in taking the decades-old friendship between Russia and India to new heights. May he continue to succeed in every endeavour for the welfare of the country and the world.”
The Russian envoy’s wishes came shortly after US President Donald Trump also congratulated PM Modi during a phone call. Trump praised Modi’s leadership, calling him a “tremendous” leader, and thanked him for his support toward ending the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Responding to Trump’s greetings, PM Modi expressed gratitude and reaffirmed India’s commitment to advancing the India-US Comprehensive and Global Partnership. He also welcomed Trump’s initiatives aimed at achieving a peaceful resolution to the Ukraine conflict.
