Owaisi Slams Pakistan’s Nobel Pitch for Trump After US Bombs Iran’s Nuclear Sites

Owaisi mocked Pakistan’s top military brass, particularly Army chief General Asim Munir, saying sarcastically, “Did Pakistan’s General have lunch with the US President for this? They’ve all been exposed today.”

All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi delivered a sharp rebuke to Pakistan on Sunday over its recent support for awarding US President Donald Trump the Nobel Peace Prize—just hours after the US carried out airstrikes on key Iranian nuclear sites.

Speaking to reporters in Hyderabad, the Lok Sabha MP questioned the rationale behind Pakistan’s earlier praise for Trump, asking: “We should ask Pakistanis—is this why they wanted Trump to get a Nobel Peace Prize?”

He was referring to the strikes on Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, which targeted Iran’s uranium enrichment facilities.

Owaisi mocked Pakistan’s top military brass, particularly Army chief General Asim Munir, saying sarcastically, “Did Pakistan’s General have lunch with the US President for this? They’ve all been exposed today.”

Turning his attention to Israel, the AIMIM leader lashed out at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, branding him a “butcher of Palestinians.”

“This attack by the US has helped Netanyahu, who is carrying out ethnic cleansing in Gaza and the West Bank. History will remember him as the butcher of Palestinians,” Owaisi declared.

He also expressed grave concern for India’s interests in the Middle East, warning that an all-out war in the region would have dire consequences for more than 16 million Indians living in Gulf countries.

“The region is vital to India’s economy. Indian companies have made huge investments in Arab nations, and a significant amount of foreign investment flows from there,” he said.

Calling Iran’s nuclear threat a “boogie” used to justify aggression, Owaisi compared the current narrative to the Iraq WMD claims.

“They said the same thing about Iraq—Weapons of Mass Destruction. Nothing ever came out of that either,” he argued.

His remarks come in the wake of Pakistan’s controversial announcement that it would nominate Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, reportedly for his role in brokering a peace agreement between Rwanda and the Congo.

In response, Trump posted on Truth Social, “No, I won’t get a Nobel Peace Prize no matter what I do… but the people know, and that’s all that matters to me!”

The criticism from Owaisi reflects broader skepticism and alarm over the intensifying US-Israel-Iran conflict, which many fear could spiral into a regional war with global implications.
