Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday praised US President Donald Trump for launching precision strikes on Iran’s key nuclear facilities, calling the decision a “bold act of historic consequence” that will reshape the future of the Middle East.

In a televised statement, Netanyahu said, “Congratulations President Trump. Your bold decision to target Iran’s nuclear facilities with the awesome and righteous might of the United States will change history.”

Netanyahu acknowledged the Israeli offensive “Operation Rising Lion”, but said the scale and precision of America’s latest strikes were unparalleled: “Israel has done truly amazing things. But in tonight’s action against Iran’s nuclear facilities, America has been truly unsurpassed. It has done what no other country on Earth could do.”

Echoing his long-standing policy mantra, Netanyahu added: “President Trump and I often say, ‘Peace through strength.’ First comes strength, then comes peace. Tonight, President Trump and the United States acted with a lot of strength.”

He concluded by thanking the US President and said, “May God bless our unshakable alliance, our unbreakable faith.”

Netanyahu’s statement came hours after President Trump confirmed the US had launched “massive precision strikes” on Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan—three of Iran’s most critical nuclear enrichment sites. Trump warned that unless peace is achieved soon, more military action could follow.

The Iranian government acknowledged the attacks and condemned them as “savage aggression”, accusing the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) of complicity and urging the global community to take action.

The US strikes come amid intensifying hostilities between Iran and Israel. The conflict entered its ninth day on Saturday, triggered by Israel’s June 13 offensive, “Operation Rising Lion”, targeting Iranian military and nuclear infrastructure.

In retaliation, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched “Operation True Promise 3”, a wide-scale missile and drone assault on Israeli energy and aviation targets.

With the US now openly involved, the situation continues to draw global attention, as leaders across the world brace for the geopolitical ramifications of the latest developments in the Middle East.
