Israeli President Isaac Herzog on Sunday expressed deep gratitude to US President Donald Trump following the United States’ “massive precision strikes” on Iran’s key nuclear facilities, calling it a “brave step” toward global security and regional stability.

Herzog said the American action against Iran’s nuclear sites—Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan—represents a decisive moment in global geopolitics, where the values of liberty, responsibility, and security triumphed over terror.

“In the pages of human history, this is a moment when the principles of liberty, responsibility, and security have triumphed. A decisive moment between the axis of terror and evil and the axis of hope,” Herzog wrote on X.

“Thank you, @POTUS @realDonaldTrump. Thank you, United States of America. This brave step serves the security and safety of the entire free world. I hope it will lead to a better future for the Middle East — and help advance the urgent release of our hostages held in captivity in Gaza,” he added.

President Trump confirmed on Saturday night (local time) that US forces conducted precision strikes on three Iranian nuclear sites using B-2 bombers and submarine-launched cruise missiles, targeting Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan.

According to CNN, six B-2 bombers dropped dozen “bunker buster” bombs on Fordow, while 30 Tomahawk cruise missiles were launched from submarines at Natanz and Isfahan. A separate B-2 strike hit Natanz again with bunker busters.

The attacks come amid an escalating conflict between Israel and Iran, which began on June 13 with Israel’s “Operation Rising Lion”, a large-scale airstrike on Iranian military and nuclear infrastructure. Iran responded with a drone and missile barrage, dubbed Operation True Promise 3, targeting Israeli energy and military assets.

Meanwhile, the Embassy of Iran in India condemned the US airstrikes as “savage aggression” and a violation of international law, specifically citing breaches of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

Iran further accused the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) of “indifference and complicity” in the aftermath of the attacks, and called upon the international community to strongly condemn the US action.

As the US formally aligns with Israel in the ongoing military campaign, the region remains on edge. With Israel closing its airspace as a precaution and global leaders issuing statements, the possibility of a wider conflict looms large.

While President Trump has emphasized that the goal is to end the nuclear threat and achieve peace, he has also warned that further action will follow if Iran does not respond positively.

This latest development could mark a turning point in Middle East geopolitics, with unprecedented coordination between Washington and Tel Aviv, and significant implications for global nuclear diplomacy.
