Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a vibrant roadshow in Gandhinagar on Tuesday, the second day of his Gujarat visit, drawing massive crowds and nationalistic fervor. Following the roadshow, PM Modi is set to attend the 20th anniversary celebrations of Gujarat’s Urban Growth Story and lay the foundation stones for multiple new projects aimed at boosting the state’s infrastructure.

This visit also marked the Prime Minister’s first trip to the border district of Kachchh following Operation Sindoor. On Monday, from Bhuj, he inaugurated 18 development projects worth ₹2,326 crore and laid foundation stones for 15 additional initiatives valued at ₹51,088 crore—totaling over ₹53,400 crore in development efforts.

Addressing a large public gathering in Bhuj, PM Modi passionately declared that the Indian tricolour must “never be allowed to bow under any circumstances.” Speaking in the local dialect, he greeted the crowd with “Ki Aayo Kutchhi,” and commended the people of Kachchh for being the valiant protectors of India’s borders.

He paid homage to Kachchh’s revolutionary icon, Shyamji Krishna Varma, and thanked the regional deity Maa Ashapura for her blessings. Recalling his longstanding bond with Kachchh, Modi said the people’s affection continually draws him back and that their resilience and confidence have been a constant source of inspiration for him.

Highlighting the life-changing impact of Narmada River water reaching Kachchh, PM Modi said the region, once plagued by water scarcity, now celebrates the transformation like a Diwali festival.
