India on Saturday firmly rejected Pakistan’s ongoing propaganda campaign, calling out a series of false claims about damage to Indian defence systems and military infrastructure as baseless and misleading.

During a joint press briefing by the Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Defence on Operation Sindoor, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh debunked specific Pakistani assertions—such as the destruction of India’s S-400 system at Adampur, airfields at Suratgarh and Sirsa, the BrahMos facility at Nagrota, and artillery gun positions in Dehrangyari and Chandigarh.

“India unequivocally rejects these false narratives being spread by Pakistan,” said Singh, adding that the disinformation effort is aimed at undermining public morale and portraying a distorted picture of India’s defence readiness.

She backed her statements with time-stamped imagery of undamaged airfields at Sirsa and Suratgarh, refuting social media narratives suggesting otherwise.

In addition to the propaganda war, Singh said Pakistan has continued its military aggression along the Line of Control (LoC), including airspace intrusions using drones and heavy artillery shelling. These hostile acts have led to civilian casualties and damage to infrastructure in areas such as Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Rajouri, and Akhnoor.

Despite these provocations, Singh confirmed that Indian forces have responded proportionately and effectively, inflicting significant damage to Pakistani positions while avoiding escalation.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri also spoke at the briefing, dismissing Pakistan’s attempts to spread lies about attacks on Indian critical infrastructure, power grids, and cyber systems.

“These are a tissue of lies designed to confuse, divide, and distract,” Misri stated, urging the public and international community not to fall for Pakistan’s falsehoods.

India reiterated that it remains committed to de-escalation, but warned that any further provocation will be met with calibrated and strong responses.
