World Leaders Condemn Pahalgam Terror Attack, Extend Solidarity with India

Condolences have continued to pour in from around the world following the brutal attack on April 22.

Thailand’s Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra expressed deep sorrow over the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, extending heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, she wrote, “I am deeply saddened by the recent horrific attack in Pahalgam. I share my profound sorrow with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and express our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and all those injured during this difficult time.”

Condolences have continued to pour in from around the world following the brutal attack on April 22.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian also conveyed his sympathies during a telephonic conversation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Pezeshkian strongly condemned the terror attack and reaffirmed Iran’s solidarity with India in combating terrorism.

Sharing details of the call, Randhir Jaiswal, the official spokesperson for India’s Ministry of External Affairs, posted on X: “President Masoud Pezeshkian of Iran called PM Narendra Modi and strongly condemned the terror attack in the Indian Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and conveyed his condolences for the victims. Both leaders agreed that there could be no justification for such acts of terror and all those who believe in humanity must stand together in the fight against terrorism.”

Prime Minister Modi, in the conversation, conveyed the deep anger and determination of the Indian people to firmly and decisively deal with those responsible for the attack and their supporters.

The terror attack in Pahalgam, believed to have been carried out by Pakistan-supported terrorists, left 25 Indian tourists and one Nepali national dead, shocking the nation.

In a significant move following the attack, Indian intelligence agencies have compiled a list of 14 local terrorists believed to be actively supporting foreign militants from Pakistan. These individuals, aged between 20 and 40, are reportedly providing logistical and ground support to infiltrators operating in Jammu and Kashmir, according to intelligence sources.
