As the city prepares for Eid-ul-Fitr and Navratri, the Outer District Police in New Delhi have ramped up security measures to ensure a peaceful and safe festive season. Authorities are implementing a multi-layered security approach, including drone surveillance, increased foot patrols, night checks, and strict vehicle inspections.
Market areas, parks, and other public spaces are under constant monitoring to prevent any potential disturbances. Additionally, police teams are focusing on vulnerable and sensitive areas, deploying area domination strategies to maintain law and order.
“We are fully dedicated to ensuring that everyone can celebrate Eid and Navratri in a safe and peaceful manner,” said Sachin Sharma, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Outer District, New Delhi.
Police officials have also urged residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with security forces to uphold peace during the celebrations.
Meanwhile, Eid-ul-Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan, is being celebrated with joy and unity across India. Special prayers were offered at mosques, Eidgahs, and open grounds following the sighting of the moon. In Delhi, large crowds gathered at the historic Jama Masjid to offer Namaz, exchange greetings, and share traditional sweets and delicacies.
