Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated film Sikandar. While promoting the movie, Salman addressed the trend of controversies surrounding film releases and made it clear that he wants Sikandar to remain controversy-free.
Speaking to ANI, Salman stated, “Arey nahin chahiye bhai humko koi controversy. Bohot saare controversies se guzar chuke hain hum. Humko nahin chahiye koi controversy.” He further emphasized that controversies don’t necessarily make a film successful, saying, “We’ve seen that sometimes a film’s release is delayed due to controversies, from Friday to the next Tuesday.”
Discussing fan expectations, Salman assured that Sikandar offers much more than what the trailer reveals. “This is just a 3.5-minute trailer. When you watch the full 2-hour-25-minute film, you’ll realize the trailer was just a glimpse. Emotions are as important as action in this film,” he shared.
He also spoke about his father, veteran scriptwriter Salim Khan, attending the trailer launch. “When I was leaving for the event, he said he wanted to come along. Everyone at home was surprised. He even climbed 8-10 steps to sit and observe the press reaction. The love and respect he has earned remain intact,” Salman said.
Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, Sikandar marks Salman’s reunion with producer Sajid Nadiadwala after their 2014 hit Kick. The film is set for release on March 30, 2025.
