The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has announced the formation of a drafting committee for its upcoming meeting in Ahmedabad on April 8 and 9. The committee comprises prominent leaders, including Sachin Pilot, Bhupesh Baghel, and 13 others, with Randeep Surjewala appointed as the convenor.
In an official press statement, the AICC also detailed the formation of several other committees to ensure smooth organization of the event. These include the reception committee, coordination committee, accommodation committee, session venue committee, session dais committee, CWC venue committee, and food committee, all consisting of Gujarat state members.
The decision to establish these committees was approved earlier as part of the party’s strategy to strengthen its organizational structure ahead of the meeting.
Meanwhile, the Congress leadership has scheduled meetings with district presidents in Delhi on March 27, 28, and April 3. Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh emphasized the significance of these discussions, stating that such a meeting is taking place after 16 years. The goal is to strengthen District Congress Committees (DCCs) and reinforce their role within the party structure.
The AICC session in Ahmedabad will include a Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting on April 8, followed by the main session on April 9. The meeting was finalized during a discussion led by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge with AICC general secretaries and state in-charges.
With key decisions expected to be taken at the Ahmedabad session, the party is gearing up for a crucial phase in its organizational planning.
