As the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) formed the government in Delhi after more than two decades, Chief Ministers from various BJP-ruled states extended their congratulations to Rekha Gupta, who was sworn in as the fourth woman Chief Minister of the national capital.

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant expressed his joy over the people of Delhi giving their “blessing” to the BJP, leading to the formation of a “double-engine government.” He took a jibe at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), saying, “After 27 years, the BJP is now in power in Delhi. The people of Delhi have voted for progress and development by choosing the double-engine government and removing the ‘AAP-Da’ government.”

Tripura CM Manik Saha also praised Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, emphasizing that his focus on the welfare of women, youth, and the poor had earned the party victory in Delhi. “Under the leadership of PM Modi, BJP has won the hearts of the public. Delhi will see significant progress, and I congratulate CM Rekha Gupta and her cabinet ministers for this achievement,” he said.

Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini expressed his confidence in Delhi’s future under Gupta’s leadership, stating, “I congratulate Delhi CM Rekha Gupta and her team. Under the guidance of PM Modi, Delhi will be transformed into a ‘Viksit Delhi’ (Developed Delhi).”

Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM also lauded Rekha Gupta, referring to her as the “Bhagya Rekha” (Fortune Rekha) and the “Vikas Rekha” (Development Rekha) of Delhi. He remarked, “Rekha Gupta will become the ‘Bhagya Rekha’ and ‘Vikas Rekha’ of Delhi. Delhi will soon become the city the nation and the world envision. If she gets too busy with her new responsibilities, we will send her the ‘Sangam Jal’ from the Mahakumbh as a token of our blessings.”

Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma expressed his faith in the new government’s ability to meet the public’s expectations, saying, “The BJP government will deliver on the promises made and fulfill the people’s expectations.”

Rekha Gupta was elected as the leader of the BJP legislative party on Wednesday, following the party’s historic victory in the Delhi assembly elections, where it secured 48 out of 70 seats, ousting the Aam Aadmi Party from power.
