A total of 34 people were injured when a tractor trolley overturned in the Ganjdundwara area of Uttar Pradesh’s Kasganj district on Wednesday, according to officials.

The Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), Rajesh Kumar Bharti, stated that the incident occurred while the passengers were returning from performing the ‘Ganga Snan.’ The tractor lost control and overturned, though none of the injured individuals were reported to be in critical condition.

“In the Ganjdundwara PS area, several people were returning after ‘Ganga Snan’ when their tractor-trolley lost control and overturned. A total of 34 people have been injured, but fortunately, none of them are in critical condition,” the ASP said.

The injured were promptly transported to the Ganjdundwara Community Health Center (CHC) for medical treatment.

Local authorities, including the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) and Circle Officer (CO) of the area, visited the accident site to assess the situation. Investigations into the cause of the incident are ongoing.

This accident follows another in December 2024, when 26 people were injured in a collision between a tractor and a passenger pickup truck in Kasganj, which had been carrying attendees from a wedding ceremony.
