As the second day of the Maha Kumbh Mela unfolds, devotees from around the globe have gathered in Prayagraj to take part in the holy dip at the Triveni Sangam and immerse themselves in spiritual practices and sermons. Among the attendees, many women pilgrims from various countries have come to participate in this grand spiritual gathering.
Priyama Dasi, a devotee from Russia currently residing in Vrindavan, shared her purpose for attending the event. “We came here with a main purpose under the guidance of our Gurudeva—to preach Sanatana Dharma. We aim to share this knowledge with others, reminding people about true life, Dharma, and how they can find real happiness in this world,” she told ANI.
Praising the event’s arrangements, she added, “Everything is so nicely organized. Policemen are stationed everywhere and are very helpful, assisting groups of devotees.”
Madhavi Dasi from Peru expressed her gratitude for being part of the Maha Kumbh Mela. “I feel very fortunate to participate. We came here with knowledge of Bhakti Yoga and Sanatana Dharma. This is the path our Gurudev taught us to help bring peace and happiness to the world,” she said.
Discussing the spiritual significance of the holy dip, Madhavi Dasi remarked, “Bathing in the Ganga is very purifying for the soul. That’s our main goal—to grow spiritually. It’s impressive to see so many people from all over the world come here. This is a wonderful opportunity to share the joy and essence of the Maha Kumbh Mela.”
Devotees from various countries, including Spain, Italy, the United States, and Germany, have joined the event, adding a global dimension to this ancient tradition.
The Maha Kumbh is celebrated every 12 years at one of four sacred locations in India and is recognized as one of the largest religious congregations in the world. The Maha Kumbh-2025, also known as the Poorna Kumbh, will continue until February 26, 2025.
