Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi condemned the confrontation between AAP leaders and police outside the Delhi Chief Minister’s residence, calling it a “blatant display of anarchy.” The standoff involved AAP leaders, including Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj and Member of Parliament Sanjay Singh, who had arrived at the residence to counter BJP’s accusations of the CM’s residence being a ‘Sheesh Mahal’—a term used to describe alleged extravagance.

“The events unfolding today, along with the actions of AAP MP Sanjay Singh and Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj, show that no matter what they do, they cannot protect Arvind Kejriwal’s ‘museum of corruption’ — the so-called ‘Sheesh Mahal’,” Trivedi told reporters. He further added, “What the AAP has done today is a clear example of their irresponsible, chaotic, and anarchic behavior.”

The BJP had previously labeled the Chief Minister’s bungalow as a ‘Sheesh Mahal,’ alleging it had lavish amenities like swimming pools and a golden commode. In response, Bharadwaj and Singh staged a protest outside the residence after being denied entry by the police, engaging in heated arguments with the officers on duty.

Meanwhile, the BJP’s Delhi unit shared a video on social media, continuing to target Kejriwal. “The hidden truths of Kejriwal’s so-called glass palace are now exposed. Delhi’s citizens have seen through this fraud,” the BJP’s Delhi wing posted on X.

The controversy unfolded ahead of the Delhi assembly elections, which are scheduled for February 5, with the results to be announced on February 8.
