PM Modi Holds Roadshow in Bhavnagar, to Inaugurate Development Projects Worth Over Rs 34,200 Crore

According to a PMO release, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for maritime-related projects worth over Rs 7,870 crore.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday held a vibrant roadshow in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, greeting large crowds of supporters waving the national tricolour.

Later, PM Modi is set to participate in the ‘Samudra se Samriddhi’ event, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth over Rs 34,200 crore and address the gathering.

As part of his visit, the Prime Minister will conduct an aerial survey of Dholera, chair a review meeting around 1:30 PM, and visit the National Maritime Heritage Complex at Lothal.

According to a PMO release, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for maritime-related projects worth over Rs 7,870 crore, including:

  • Mumbai International Cruise Terminal at Indira Dock
  • New container terminal and facilities at Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata
  • New container berth, cargo handling, and developments at Paradip Port
  • Tuna Tekra Multi-Cargo Terminal
  • Firefighting facilities and road connectivity at Kamarajar Port, Ennore
  • Coastal protection works at Chennai Port and Car Nicobar Island
  • Multi-purpose cargo berth and Green Bio-Methanol Plant at Deendayal Port, Kandla
  • Ship repair facilities at Patna and Varanasi

In line with his focus on holistic and sustainable development, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for central and state government projects in Gujarat worth over Rs 26,354 crore, spanning multiple sectors. Key projects include:

  • HPLNG Regasification Terminal at Chhara Port
  • Acrylics & Oxo Alcohol Project at Gujarat IOCL Refinery
  • 600 MW Green Shoe Initiative
  • PM-KUSUM 475 MW Component C solar feeder for farmers
  • 45 MW Badeli Solar PV Project
  • Complete solarisation of Dhordo village

He will also lay the foundation stone for LNG infrastructure, renewable energy projects, coastal protection works, highways, and healthcare and urban transport projects, including expansions at Sir T. General Hospital, Bhavnagar, Guru Govind Sinh Government Hospital, Jamnagar, and the four-laning of 70 km of national highways.

The Prime Minister’s visit will conclude with an aerial survey of the Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR), envisioned as a greenfield industrial city designed around sustainable industrialisation, smart infrastructure, and global investment.
