Rajasthan Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Madan Rathore on Friday strongly criticised the Congress after its Bihar unit shared an AI-generated video depicting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother Heeraben Modi, calling it a “cheap tactic” born out of political frustration.

Rathore told ANI that the video, uploaded on the official Bihar Congress handle on X, was “highly condemnable”. “Congress has lost its dominance and is resorting to cheap tactics. Sometimes they use indecent words about the Prime Minister’s mother. Now they have mocked her through an AI video. This is disgraceful, and society will condemn such acts and teach them a lesson,” he said.

BJP national spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari alleged that the video was released on the instructions of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. “Congress has mocked PM Modi’s late mother. A few days ago, they abused her; now their ‘Shahi Parivar’ is insulting mothers and sisters of Bharat. It is insensitive and sickening,” he posted on X, further accusing Congress of being “anti-women” and “anti-poor”.

The issue has sparked outrage, coming shortly after another controversy in Bihar where alleged abuses were hurled at PM Modi and his mother during a Congress-RJD rally in Darbhanga.

Prime Minister Modi himself had earlier condemned such remarks, calling them an insult not only to his mother but to all mothers, sisters, and daughters of India. “Mother is our self-respect and our world. My mother, who had nothing to do with politics, was abused from the stage of RJD-Congress. This is painful for me and for the people of Bihar,” he said at a recent event.
