In a significant diplomatic move, an Indian all-party parliamentary delegation led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad visited France from May 25–27 to reinforce India’s united and firm stance against terrorism. The visit is part of a broader initiative to engage the international community in the aftermath of Operation Sindoor, India’s targeted military response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.

According to a statement from the Embassy of India in France, the delegation began its engagements with a detailed briefing at the Indian Embassy in Paris. Throughout their visit, the delegates held in-depth discussions with leading French think tanks, highlighting the global threat posed by terrorism and emphasizing India’s zero-tolerance policy toward it.

The delegation strongly condemned the Pahalgam attack, describing it as a deliberate attempt to destabilize peace and development in Jammu and Kashmir. In response, India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7, executing precise and proportionate strikes against terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. These strikes reportedly eliminated over 100 terrorists associated with groups such as Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen.

The all-party group underscored that India does not distinguish between terrorists and those who support them. This message was also conveyed to members of the Indian diaspora in France, who expressed their full solidarity with India’s stand against terrorism.

In a post shared on social media platform X, the Indian Embassy in France wrote, “Meeting with Think Tanks – The All Party Indian Parliamentary Delegation had an in-depth and interactive discussion with experts from various French think-tanks. The think-tanks were briefed on India’s strong and clear message against terrorism. #IndiaInFrance.”

This visit is part of a wider diplomatic initiative involving seven multi-party delegations traveling globally to raise awareness about Pakistan’s links to terrorism and reaffirm India’s resolve to combat terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
