The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Saturday declared the results of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech), with 24 candidates securing a perfect 100 percentile score.

This year’s exam saw a massive turnout, with over 15.39 lakh unique candidates registering across two sessions—January and April—and 14.75 lakh students appearing. The exam was held in 13 languages across 300 cities, including 15 international locations such as Dubai, Singapore, Doha, and Washington DC.

Rajasthan topped the list with seven 100 percentile scorers, followed by Maharashtra and Telangana with four each, Uttar Pradesh (three), West Bengal (two), and one each from Gujarat, Delhi, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh. Among the toppers, two are female students: Devdutta Majhi from West Bengal and Sai Manogna Guthikonda from Andhra Pradesh.

The NTA also released the category-wise cut-offs for eligibility to appear in JEE Advanced 2025:

  • UR: 93.10 percentile
  • EWS: 80.38 percentile
  • OBC-NCL: 79.43 percentile
  • SC: 61.15 percentile
  • ST: 47.90 percentile
  • PwBD (UR): 0.0079 percentile

To maintain the exam’s integrity, the NTA deployed advanced security measures, including AI-based video analytics, 5G jammers, biometric attendance, and live CCTV monitoring. Despite these measures, results of 110 candidates were withheld due to alleged use of unfair means, and 23 others were flagged for identity discrepancies.

Out of the total candidates, 8.33 lakh registered for both sessions, with 7.75 lakh appearing in both. For these students, the best score out of the two sessions was considered for the final ranking.

With the JEE Main results now out, qualified candidates are set to take the next big step: JEE Advanced 2025, the gateway to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
