Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Tuesday extended warm wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 75th birthday, praising his leadership for driving unprecedented growth in infrastructure and human resource development.
“I extend my best wishes to PM Narendra Modi on behalf of the Goa state government and the people on his birthday. The way infrastructure and human resource development has taken place during his tenure is unmatched. His leadership will continue to take the country forward,” Sawant said while speaking to reporters in Mumbai.

Earlier in the day, Union Minister Piyush Goyal also lauded PM Modi, noting that he has ensured development reaches every citizen. Goyal highlighted reforms like the Goods and Services Tax (GST), which, he said, have simplified life for people across the country.
As part of the celebrations, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a 15-day nationwide campaign, Seva Pakhwada, from September 17 to October 2. The programme will include blood donation camps, cleanliness drives, and exhibitions showcasing the central government’s achievements.
Union Minister Bhupender Yadav said the campaign will begin on the Prime Minister’s birthday and conclude on Gandhi Jayanti, combining service activities with commemoration.
Additionally, the National Award-winning film Chalo Jeete Hain, inspired by Swami Vivekananda’s philosophy that “those who live for others truly live,” will be re-released nationwide to mark the occasion.
Internationally, US President Donald Trump conveyed birthday greetings to PM Modi through a phone call. In a post on Truth Social, Trump praised Modi as a “tremendous” leader and thanked him for supporting efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Modi responded by thanking Trump for his wishes and reaffirming India’s commitment to advancing the India-US Comprehensive and Global Partnership.
