Team India delivered a commanding all-round performance to seal a seven-wicket victory over Pakistan in the Asia Cup, consolidating their place at the top of Group A.

Chasing 128, India wrapped up the contest in just 15.5 overs, thanks to captain Suryakumar Yadav’s unbeaten 47 off 37 balls. Despite an early jolt in the powerplay from Pakistan’s Saim Ayub, the Men in Blue remained unfazed and cruised to victory with more than four overs to spare.

After the win, Suryakumar dedicated the triumph to the nation’s armed forces, paying tribute to the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack.

“Perfect occasion to stand by the families of the victims. This win is for our armed forces who continue to inspire us with their bravery,” he said.

Earlier, Kuldeep Yadav’s brilliant spell (3/18) dismantled Pakistan’s middle order, earning him the Player of the Match award. “I had my plans and just focused on execution,” Kuldeep remarked, stressing the importance of sticking to his wicket-taking mindset.

The fixture once again highlighted the trend in recent Indo-Pak T20 clashes — eight out of the last nine encounters have been won by the chasing side.

While India celebrated another clinical performance, Pakistan struggled across departments, with their skipper Salman Ali Agha notably absent from the post-match presentation.
