Expelled Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tej Pratap Yadav on Monday claimed he was removed from the party as part of a “conspiracy” orchestrated by four to five individuals within the RJD. Speaking publicly for the first time since his expulsion, Yadav said the people of Bihar had witnessed the injustice meted out to him.
“The people of Bihar have seen how I was expelled through a conspiracy by 4–5 people. They know my nature and how I connect with everyone. These people thought they could suppress me. But Tej Pratap Yadav cannot be suppressed,” he said while speaking to ANI.
Yadav, the elder son of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, said he would now take his fight to the public and hinted at contesting in the upcoming Assembly elections.
While refraining from naming the alleged conspirators, Yadav vowed to expose them at the right time. He stated that he would seek legal recourse and not tolerate interference in his personal life.
“I will not remain silent. I will soon name the 4–5 people responsible. I will take this matter to court. No one will tolerate meddling in their personal affairs,” Yadav said.
Citing concerns over his safety, Tej Pratap urged the Bihar government to enhance his security.
“I feel there is a threat to my life. I demand increased security. I will not spare those who have tried to destroy my life,” he said.
Despite his strained ties with the party, Tej Pratap expressed continued support for his younger brother, Tejashwi Yadav, calling him a capable leader.
“As an elder brother, I will always bless Tejashwi and want to see him become the Chief Minister of Bihar,” he said.
Tej Pratap’s expulsion marks yet another chapter in the intra-family and intra-party turmoil within the RJD, adding political uncertainty ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections.
