A high-level all-party delegation led by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Eknath Shinde addressed the Indian diaspora in the United Arab Emirates, presenting a united front in India’s global diplomatic campaign against terrorism. The interaction spotlighted India’s resolute response to the Pahalgam terror attack and the launch of Operation Sindoor, which has become a symbol of the country’s new zero-tolerance approach to cross-border terrorism.

At the gathering, BJD MP Sasmit Patra described Operation Sindoor as a defining moment for India’s counterterrorism posture.

“We will ensure more than 100 terrorists die for what you’re doing. This is the new India,” Patra declared, emphasizing the strength and unity across political lines in the fight against terrorism.

Highlighting the unity of the delegation, he added, “This is the new India where political differences don’t matter. We’re speaking one language, one voice, one thought, and one idea—India.”

BJP leader Surendrajeet Singh Ahluwalia echoed this sentiment, citing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s firm stance. “Modiji talks about the new normal—talks cannot happen while attacks are ongoing. Blood and water will not flow together.”

The UAE marks the first stop of a four-nation diplomatic outreach aimed at conveying India’s unified and unwavering stance on terrorism to the global community. The delegation includes MPs Bansuri Swaraj, ET Mohmd Basheer, Atul Garg, Sasmit Patra, Manan Kumar Mishra, Surendrajeet Singh Ahluwalia, and former Ambassador Sujan Chinoy.

Earlier in the day, the group met with UAE’s Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Sheikh Nahyan Mabarak Al Nahyan, who extended his condolences for the victims of the Pahalgam attack. The delegation briefed him on Pakistan’s role in fostering cross-border terrorism and efforts to destabilize social harmony in India.

Operation Sindoor was launched in retaliation to the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam. The Indian Armed Forces conducted precision strikes on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), followed by a strong military response to Pakistani aggression.

The visit underscores India’s commitment to confronting terrorism through a unified political front, proactive military strategy, and robust international diplomacy. The delegation affirmed that India will continue to speak its truth on the global stage and expects the world to stand with it against terrorism in all forms.
