Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday praised the Indian Armed Forces for the success of Operation Sindoor, declaring that the strikes have shown terrorists and their backers the dire consequences of targeting Indian families and values.

Speaking during the ‘Tiranga Samman Shaurya Yatra’ in Dehradun, CM Dhami said, “Through Operation Sindoor, our armed forces under the leadership of PM Modi explained to the terrorists and their masters the consequences of eyeing the ‘sindoor’ of India’s daughters.”

He hailed the valour and courage of the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, BSF, and all security personnel, attributing the mission’s success to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and decisive anti-terrorism policies.

Operation Sindoor was launched in response to the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, which claimed 26 lives. In the early hours of May 7, India launched precision strikes on nine terror hideouts located deep inside Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK).

Dhami asserted that the operation showcased India’s unity and resolve against terrorism. “The terrorists aimed to incite riots in the country, but instead, the nation united and demanded a strong response,” he said.

He further warned Pakistan of dire consequences for any hostile action, stating, “Our armed forces entered their territory and destroyed every single terrorist hideout. Pakistan must now understand that even a glance at India can lead to its destruction.”

The Tiranga Yatra, launched nationwide by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday, is intended to honour the armed forces and raise public awareness about the success of Operation Sindoor.
