CM Mohan Yadav Leads Meeting on Preparation for GIS 2025

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav chaired a crucial meeting with top officials to ensure the successful and smooth organization of the Global Investors Summit (GIS) 2025, scheduled for February 24-25 at the Indira Gandhi National Human Museum Complex in Bhopal.

Yadav confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the two-day event on February 24 at 10 AM and will also launch Madhya Pradesh’s new industrial policies. The Prime Minister will also tour the MP Experience Zone, a key feature of the event, which will provide an immersive digital walkthrough showcasing the state’s heritage, its achievements, and future aspirations.

The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of coordination between officials to make the summit a grand, well-executed, and impactful event. He underscored that the GIS aims to strengthen Madhya Pradesh’s economy by attracting both domestic and international investors. To make the event historic, Yadav stressed comprehensive preparations and instructed officials to ensure seamless arrangements.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the need to present Madhya Pradesh’s investor-friendly industrial policies and its vast infrastructure potential to attract investments. He called for creating an industry-friendly environment by providing all necessary support and facilities for investors.

Yadav further directed that the attending investors be treated as special guests, with a focus on showcasing the state’s rich culture, local arts, cuisine, and hospitality. He also called for the beautification of Bhopal’s lakes and the city to enhance its appeal. In particular, he instructed the authorities to offer boating and e-battery-operated rides at the city’s large lake, allowing participants to enjoy Bhopal’s natural beauty.

To add a unique touch, the Chief Minister asked Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Vishwas Sarang to organize water sports at both the large and small lakes in Bhopal, enhancing the experience for the summit’s attendees. Yadav also emphasized that the cooperation of Bhopal’s citizens would be crucial to the summit’s success.

According to officials, over 60 countries will participate in GIS, with 10 ambassadors, eight high commissioners, and seven consulate generals attending. A total of 133 international participants, including top industrialists and CEOs, will be present. More than 31,659 registrations have been received, with over 18,736 participants confirming their attendance. A dedicated village will be set up at the venue to showcase products from the “One District, One Product” (ODOP) initiative, including traditional clay pottery, terracotta handicrafts, and Madhya Pradesh’s iconic sculptures.

The Chief Minister expressed satisfaction with the ongoing preparations and assured that the collective efforts of all departments would guarantee the success of GIS. He urged all stakeholders to collaborate in making Bhopal a prime global investment hub.

During the meeting, public representatives from Bhopal expressed gratitude to Yadav for hosting the summit in the city, considering it a great honor. They acknowledged that GIS would generate significant employment opportunities for the youth in Bhopal. The Chief Minister also highlighted that the active participation and support of Bhopal’s residents would be pivotal in ensuring the summit’s success. Local representatives shared their suggestions to ensure a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all investors and participants.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Ministers Jagdish Devda and Rajendra Shukla, Minister for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises and Bhopal District In-Charge Chaitanya Kumar Kashyap, Minister of Backward Class & Minority Welfare Krishna Gaur, MPs V.D. Sharma (Khajuraho) and Alok Sharma (Bhopal), MLA Rameshwar Sharma, Mayor Malti Rai, Bhopal District Panchayat President Ramkunwar Gurjar, Chief Secretary Anurag Jain, and several senior officials.
