BJP leader Kapil Mishra has alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is aiding Rohingya refugees by providing them with essential services and adding them to Delhi’s voter list to alter the city’s demographic makeup.
In a statement to ANI, Mishra claimed, “We have released a video where a Rohingya infiltrator admits to receiving Rs 10,000, ration, water, and electricity support from Amanatullah Khan’s people. This evidence indicates that Rohingya infiltrators are being included in the voters’ list, signaling an effort to change Delhi’s demography.”
Ramesh Bidhuri, BJP candidate from Kalkaji, echoed similar accusations, stating that political parties like AAP, Congress, and the Trinamool Congress are actively supporting Bangladeshi infiltrators and Rohingyas in Delhi.
“Bangladeshi infiltrators and Rohingyas are being settled in Delhi with Congress, Mamata Banerjee, and Arvind Kejriwal prioritizing them over Indian citizens. These parties are involved in issuing fake identification documents to them. Many AAP leaders will face jail time for such activities,” Bidhuri said.
In an ongoing crackdown, Central Delhi Police detained nine Bangladeshi nationals over six days. Seven of them were apprehended from a hotel in the Nabi Karim area.
Authorities revealed that some of the detainees entered India using tourist visas, while others illegally crossed the border through West Bengal and Tripura using the “donkey route.” This brings the total number of Bangladeshi nationals detained by Central Delhi Police to 14. They have been sent to the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) for further investigation.
M Harshavardhan, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for Central Delhi, confirmed the operation, emphasizing the police’s commitment to tackling illegal immigration and maintaining law and order.
On January 4, Delhi Police apprehended a Bangladeshi national, Md Sahidul Islam, who had been residing illegally in the South West District for three years. He was detained during a verification drive in Palam Village and later handed over to the FRRO for deportation.
The BJP continues to accuse the AAP government of undermining national security by supporting illegal immigrants, while the police intensify their efforts to address the issue of unauthorized migration in the capital.
