The Ganesh Chaturthi festivities at Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s residence, Varsha Bungalow, turned into a star-studded affair with a host of celebrities gracing the event. The celebration, held on Wednesday, saw a blend of Bollywood stars and international dignitaries coming together to honor Lord Ganesha.

Among the notable attendees was the legendary singer Asha Bhosle, who made a charming appearance in a traditional sari, accompanied by her granddaughter Zanai Bhosle. Asha’s presence was a nod to the rich cultural heritage of the event. Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty also dazzled in a vibrant green and pink sari, capturing the festive spirit with her radiant smile.

Veteran actor Jeetendra was present alongside his son, Tusshar Kapoor. Jeetendra opted for an elegant ethnic outfit, while Tusshar kept it casual in a shirt and trousers. Their participation highlighted the family-oriented nature of the festival.

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal were also spotted at the gathering. Sonakshi, known for her role in “Dabangg,” wore a beautiful salwar suit, while Zaheer complemented her look with a floral shirt and white pants. The couple was seen joyfully engaging with the media.

Director Rohit Shetty, known for his blockbuster hits, chose a classic white kurta-pyjama paired with a black Nehru jacket, embodying a refined simplicity that suited the occasion perfectly. R Madhavan, another prominent figure, made a notable entrance, adding to the star-studded lineup.

Neil Nitin Mukesh also attended, donning a striking black outfit with intricate embroidery. The event saw a range of personalities including Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, singer Udit Narayan, Himesh Reshammiya, actor Aayush Sharma, Mrunal Thakur, and film director Atlee. Notable figures like Govinda and former cricketer Harbhajan Singh, with his wife Geeta Basra, were also present, adding to the diversity of the guest list.

Divya Khosla Kumar looked stunning in a red sari, making a vibrant statement at the celebration. Sanjay Dutt made his mark with a white kurta and black salwar, reflecting the traditional essence of the festival.

In a unique twist, the star-studded Ganesh Chaturthi celebration at Varsha Bungalow also attracted international attention. Foreign diplomats from countries such as Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Sweden, Switzerland, UAE, USA, Yemen, South Korea, Chile, China, Mexico, Germany, Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Argentina, Australia, Bangladesh, Bahrain, and Belarus participated in the Ganesh Aarti. Chief Minister Shinde highlighted this in a post on X, noting that the ambassadors were welcomed with special gifts and enjoyed a traditional Maharashtrian feast, including steamed modaks, which are a favorite offering to Lord Ganesha.

The festivities of Ganesh Chaturthi, which began on September 7, are celebrated over a 10-day period and will continue until Anantha Chaturdashi. This festival, also known as Vinayak Chaturthi or Vinayak Chavithi, honors Lord Ganesha as the deity of new beginnings and remover of obstacles. Devotees across India and around the world partake in vibrant celebrations, welcoming Ganesh idols into their homes, offering prayers, and visiting colorful pandals.
